Aaron Green, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, is the data controller for personal data collected through Side Quest. Contact: a-ron@live.co.uk.

What we collect and why

• Account details (email address, password or Google sign-in) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Quest activity (your daily quests, completions, rerolls) — to provide the service. Legal basis: contract.
• Subscription status (plan, renewal dates, payment provider reference) — to give Pro members their benefits. Legal basis: contract.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, logs) — for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Messages you send us — to provide support. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host the app, store data and generate quests with AI.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling Pro, managing subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing.
• Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
• Authorities where the law requires it.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When it's no longer needed we delete or anonymise it, except where we must keep records by law (for example, tax).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Email us and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers to protect your data.

Cookies

We only use essential storage needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
